In collaboration with the National Gallery and Production Arts students at Wimbledon Collage of Arts, Costume students like Ruby Williams created costumes, designed scene and had their costumes exhibited in the National Gallery’s education sector.

Our project was based on the Painting ‘La Coiffure’ or the combing of the hair, we chose to interpret the painting for a modern queer audience, and re interpreted the relationship between the maid and the lady as a queer relationship in the back of a burlesque bar. Collaborating with costume maker Michaela Abaffyova, we created and styled costumes for the shoot, with the production design students creating a 3D scene for the costumes to exist in.

For this project, I styled the costumes and designed both costumes for our charachters. I also made the costume for our hair brusher charachter in the coiffure. I also styled wigs and did makeup for this shoot.
