Costume assistant on indie film “The Alice Paradox”, coming 2026.
In this role, Ruby made sure the costume department was running smoothly by performing costume checks, preparing costumes for filming, and returning pieces after filming. In this uncredited position, Ruby was present for night shoots, where she made sure actors were comfortable and prepared to shoot.
Dresser on Wimbledon UAL production of ‘Jane Eyre’
Taking on a semi-managerial position for this UAL production, Ruby made costumes for the show, including dresses and skirts, hired out and styled / fixed costumes from costume rental houses and was a present dresser backstage for all 3 days of the shows run. Here she learned time management, quickchanges and how theatre operates backstage.
Costume Designer for short films such as “Blooming Blues” and “Matches”
As lead costume designer for short film productions, Ruby has had experience sourcing, managing shot lists and taking on the role of sole costume designer for many small film productions. She has managed expenses, stayed to budget and made costumes when the role required it. This experience has taught her indispensable information about how sets function and how the role of Costume Designer works in the film industry, this has sparked her passion to work in film and TV.
Costume Designer for music video “YOU” by Keli VEVO
As a part of this production, Ruby was the sole costume designer and dresser / stylist for the music video “YOU” by Keli. Collaborating with the artist to find an artistic language for the costume, she managed expenses and sourced costumes for the managerie of roles in the video. Including styling and managing backround actors clothes and keeping track of scene and script.
